Some years ago, Casper Labuschagne and I worked together in an attempt to determine the principles at work in the numerical composition of the Book of the Twelve Prophets. A summary of our conclusions was posted on the www.bibal.net website dated April 16, 2002: “Word-Count in the Book of the Twelve—Progress Report.” Very few changes have been made in the seven years since those tentative conclusions were posted, and none at all so far as the books of Nahum and Jonah are concerned.
